Ajman Freezone Custom Cubicle Workstations
Custom Cubicle Workstations for Ajman Freezone
Al Asala planned, manufactured, and installed more than 1000 customized cubicle workstations for Ajman Freezone, balancing privacy, storage, lighting, non-standard room sizes, and a tight project deadline.
office rooms planned with adjusted workstation sizes and installation-fit corrections.
Project Brief
Ajman Freezone needed a large number of individual work points for a shared office and small-company working environment. The client approached Al Asala with a tight deadline because the building was nearly completed, while the final room conditions still required careful measurement and on-site adjustment.
Custom Workstation Requirements
The project needed to protect user privacy without closing off the rooms visually. Each workstation had to support focused work, storage for files, comfortable seating, and enough circulation space for users moving through relatively small rooms.
- More than 1000 cubicle workstations were required across several project phases.
- More than 90 office rooms had to be fitted without leaving unusable leftover spaces.
- Each room had different practical measurements after construction was completed.
- Storage cabinets and mobile pedestals were included for file storage and daily office use.
Non-Standard Sizes and Color-Matched Finishes
Instead of using a single standard workstation size, Al Asala customized many room layouts with different workstation dimensions. Sizes included 80 x 60, 100 x 60, 110 x 60, and 130 x 60 configurations, selected according to the usable space and required number of occupants.
Products Used in This Project
The main product family was a custom cubicle workstation system supported by cabinets, mobile pedestals, and task chairs with liftable armrests. The chair choice helped users push chairs fully inside the workstation when not in use, improving circulation inside compact rooms.
Delivery and Installation Scope
The production and installation team adjusted sizes during installation because several completed rooms did not match the original layout map exactly. This reduced wasted space and helped meet the required number of users in each room.
- Workstation dimensions were tailored room by room to match actual site conditions.
- Glass side partition panels helped pass ambient light into areas farther from the window wall.
- Cabinets and pedestals provided file storage without consuming extra shared floor space.
- Liftable-arm chairs helped preserve room space when workstations were not in use.
Project Outcome
The final installation furnished the required rooms with exact-fit workstations, leaving no redundant units and no unusable leftover room space. The completed project balanced privacy, light, storage, comfort, and efficient room capacity for the shared office environment.
