This Privacy Policy explains how Madar Al Noor General Trading LLC (operating under the trading name “Al Asala Furniture”, hereafter “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal data when you visit https://www.alasalafurniture.com, submit an inquiry, or otherwise interact with us. We act as the data controller for personal data processed through this website.
We are committed to handling personal data lawfully and transparently in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (“PDPL”) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”).

2. Personal data we collect
We only collect personal data that is necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Categories of data:
2.1 Data you give us directly
- Inquiry & quote forms (contact form, request-a-quote): full name, company name, business email, phone number, country, message content, items of interest, and any further details you choose to provide.
- Newsletter / marketing subscriptions (if you sign up): email address and the marketing preferences you select.
- Communications with our sales team via email, WhatsApp, or telephone: the content of messages you send and the telephone number or email used.
- Account information (if account features are enabled): username, hashed password, billing/shipping address, order history.
2.2 Data we collect automatically
- Technical data: IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type and version, operating system, time zone, device identifiers, referral URL.
- Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, click paths, search terms used on the site, products viewed, error logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 9.
2.3 Data from third-party sources
- Hosting and security logs generated by our hosting provider (Cloudways).
- Analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics, if enabled — see Section 5) provide aggregated traffic data which may include hashed identifiers.
- Payment processors (only if and when we accept online payments) provide transaction confirmations; we do not receive or store full card numbers.
We do not knowingly collect data that the PDPL classifies as “sensitive personal data” (e.g., health, biometric, racial, religious data). Please do not include such information in any form submission or message to us.
3. Why we use your data and the legal basis

You can withdraw consent for marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by writing to sales@alasalafurniture.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with the following categories of recipients, under written contractual safeguards:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure: Cloudways (DigitalOcean infrastructure) — hosts the website and all submitted data. Backups and security logs may be retained by them.
- Email and form delivery services: the provider operating the inquiry form notification system (e.g., Fluent Forms, transactional email services such as SendGrid, Postmark, or Gmail SMTP, depending on the configuration in use).
- Payment processors (only if and when online payments are enabled): Stripe, Tabby, Tamara, or PayTabs. They act as independent data controllers for the payment data they process.
- Analytics providers (only if enabled and you have given cookie consent): Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager.
- Logistics partners (only when an order is placed): the courier / delivery contractor selected for your order, who receives your name, delivery address and phone number.
- Professional advisors: our auditors, lawyers, and tax advisors, where strictly necessary.
- Authorities and law enforcement: UAE authorities, courts, or regulators where compelled by law or to defend our legal rights.

5. Cookies and tracking technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. They fall into three categories:
- Strictly necessary (always on): session, security, cart, language preference. Without these the site cannot function.
- Analytics (only set if you accept): used to count visits and understand which pages perform well. We use, or may use, Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled.
- Marketing (only set if you accept): used to measure effectiveness of advertising campaigns. We may use Google Ads or Meta Pixel.

6. International data transfers
Our hosting infrastructure (Cloudways / DigitalOcean) and some of our service providers (e.g., Google) may store or process personal data outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Singapore. Where personal data is transferred outside the UAE, we rely on one or more of the following safeguards as set out in PDPL Article 22–23:
- The destination country has been recognised as offering an adequate level of protection.
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent contractual safeguards approved by the UAE Data Office.
- Your explicit consent, after being informed of the risks.
- The transfer is necessary for the performance of a contract you have entered into with us.

7. How long we keep your data
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in Section 3, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Standard retention periods:
- Inquiry / quote form submissions: 24 months from your last interaction with us, or longer if a contractual relationship is in progress.
- Customer accounts: for the lifetime of the account, plus 7 years after closure for tax record-keeping (UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 28 of 2022 on Tax Procedures).
- Order, invoice and tax records: 7 years (UAE statutory minimum).
- Marketing subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus 30 days for unsubscribe-list housekeeping.
- Website server and analytics logs: up to 26 months for analytics; up to 12 months for security logs.
8. How we protect your data
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including:
- TLS/SSL encryption in transit across the entire site.
- Encrypted at-rest storage on hosting infrastructure.
- Role-based access control to the WordPress backend; multi-factor authentication for administrators.
- Regular automated backups.
- Periodic security patching and vulnerability monitoring.
- Limited employee access on a need-to-know basis under written confidentiality obligations.
No system is 100% secure. If we ever become aware of a personal data breach affecting your data, we will notify the UAE Data Office and (where required) you, in line with PDPL Article 9.
9. Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exemptions in PDPL Articles 13–18 (and, where applicable, GDPR Articles 15–22), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and obtain a copy.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data when it is no longer necessary, when consent is withdrawn, or when you object to processing.
- Restrict processing while you contest its accuracy or lawfulness.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing.
- Receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and transmit it to another controller (data portability).
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the legal basis.
- Lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office (for PDPL) or, if you are located in the EEA / UK, with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any right, email sales@alasalafurniture.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and a description of your request. We will respond within 30 days (extendable once where the request is complex). We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request, to prevent disclosure to the wrong person.
10. Children’s data
This website is intended for business buyers and is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted personal data to us, please contact sales@alasalafurniture.com and we will delete it.
11. Third-party links
The site may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., supplier websites, social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please read their privacy policies separately.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the website and, where required by law, communicated to you directly. Continued use of the site after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
